Northern Scorpion (Paruroctonus boreus)
Northern Scorpion with enclosure $50

Paruroctonus boreus, commonly known as the northern scorpion, is one of the most cold-tolerant scorpion species in North America. It ranges across parts of Canada and the northern United States, often inhabiting dry, rocky, or grassy areas. This small, tan to light brown scorpion typically measures about 4–5 cm (1.5–2 inches) in length and is nocturnal, hiding under rocks or debris during the day. Despite living in colder climates, it remains active during warmer months and can survive near-freezing temperatures. Its venom is mild and not considered dangerous to humans, making it of interest to scientists studying scorpion adaptation.
